At The Power Shed, we are committed to dispatching and delivering your order in a prompt, reliable, and professional manner.

Delivery Timescales

Most standard orders are processed and dispatched within three working days of payment confirmation. Some larger items—such as portable battery systems or generators—may require additional handling or the use of a specialist courier, which may extend delivery times. Once dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with the relevant information.

Specialist Couriers

Certain products, due to their size, weight, or battery classification (e.g., lithium content), are delivered via specialist courier services. These couriers are chosen for their reliability and experience with sensitive goods, though they may not provide tracking or timed delivery slots.

Split Shipments

Orders containing multiple products may be fulfilled from separate warehouses or delivered via different couriers. This may result in items arriving at different times. We will notify you if this applies to your order.

Deliveries to Remote or Offshore Locations

Deliveries to locations outside mainland UK—including Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Channel Islands, and other remote areas—may be subject to additional charges or extended delivery times.

Estimated vs Guaranteed Delivery

All delivery timeframes provided are estimates and are not guaranteed. While we make every effort to meet our stated timelines, delays caused by couriers, weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control may occur.


Order Processing & Payment Terms

An order confirmation and receipt of payment do not constitute a binding contract. We reserve the right to cancel any order in cases of pricing errors, stock availability issues, or where we have reasonable concerns regarding the intended use of a product. Should this occur, a full refund will be issued.

Orders under £50 may be subject to additional carriage charges, depending on the nature of the item and delivery location. If applicable, we will notify you following your order.


Goods Damaged in Transit

If your item arrives damaged:

  • Do not accept the delivery if the outer packaging is clearly damaged.

  • If you choose to accept it, sign as “damaged” with the courier and take clear photographs of the damage immediately.

  • Report all transit damage to us within 48 hours of delivery via email with supporting evidence.

We regret that we cannot process claims for damage reported beyond this 48-hour window.


Order Cancellations & Returns (Consumer Orders Only)

Cancelling Before Dispatch

You may cancel your order prior to dispatch by contacting us via email, provided the item is not a custom or special-order product, or part of a business-to-business (B2B) sale.

Returning Unwanted Goods

If you are purchasing as a consumer (i.e., not for business use), you have the right to return most unused goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

To qualify for a return:

  • You must notify us in writing (email is sufficient) within 14 calendar days of delivery.

  • You must return the item(s) within a further 14 calendar days of your return notification.

  • Goods must be unused, in their original packaging, and include all accessories, manuals, and promotional items.

  • Sealed electronics must remain unopened, unless faulty.

  • You are responsible for return postage costs and for ensuring the goods are safely returned.

  • Return address details will be provided upon request.

We reserve the right to deduct the value of any missing items, damage, or signs of use from the refund.

Important: We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service for returns. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.


Refunds & Exchanges

Returned goods will be inspected upon arrival. Refunds or exchanges will only be processed if the item meets our return criteria.

If an exchange is requested, standard shipping fees will apply to the replacement item.

Refunds will exclude any unreturned promotional items or bundled products; their full value will be deducted from the refund amount.


Business Orders & B2B Transactions

Orders placed by businesses, or for commercial use, are not eligible for return under consumer legislation. This includes sole traders or partnerships using goods in a commercial context.

Deposits paid for business orders are non-refundable if the order is later cancelled by the customer.


Warranty & After-Sales Support

All products supplied by The Power Shed include a manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, subject to standard usage and care.

Please note:

  • Warranty coverage does not include misuse, damage, or wear and tear.

  • Products containing fuel or oil must be fully drained before being returned, in accordance with courier safety regulations.

  • Items must be serviced at the manufacturer-recommended intervals to maintain warranty eligibility.

  • Warranty terms may vary for commercial or business use. Please check with us if the item is being used in a business or trade setting.

As a reseller, we facilitate the warranty process in line with the manufacturer’s policy. While we will assist in liaising with the manufacturer, The Power Shed is not responsible for delays or decisions made by the manufacturer or supplier.
